The Osaka Prefectural Police Department has announced that during the summit, and on the days before and after (Thursday, June 27 through Sunday, June 30), the main sections of the Hanshin Expressway, including No.1 Loop Route, will be closed to traffic from early morning to late at night.

Please come to Osaka International Airport by train and be sure to allow extra travel time.

Large-scale, long-lasting traffic restrictions will be put in place around the airport, on the expressway, and in Osaka, so we strongly recommend coming to the airport by train instead of car.
Will I be able to drive my car to the airport? The G20 Osaka Summit Traffic Reduction Committee has set the goal of reducing traffic by 50% during normal hours on weekdays. If the amount of traffic cannot be controlled, traffic restrictions will be put in place, so visitors should expect heavy traffic on the expressway and airport roads.
